This photograph is what it looks like when a Priest rightly understands his Domain; the sanctifying and blessing of his tribesmen to go crush in their domains.
Church is not the governance machinery for a tribe, it is the sanctification machinery.
Pastors; seek the sanctification of your tribe, not the tribalization of your church.
The church sanctifies the tribesmen, it does not rule over the tribe.
If we try to be king, thru the Domain of Church, we will disciple our non-priestly tribesmen to the priestly standard, & divert all their energy from the other domains into building our church kingdom.
Our Church will be devoid of Kings, Prophets, & Warriors, due to their natural aversion to being discipled into the role of priest.
Or they’ll be hyper-competitive over limited priestly authority in the church, rather than crushing in their rightful domains to the glory of God.
Most fearfully these rough men will be crucified to the standard of the Priest.
Kings are afforded endless grace as long as they don’t disobey God or fold to the enemy.
Not so of priests.
Our tribe has tons of vacancies for based chaplains.
Pastors must understand the frame that they are not kings, that it’s okay to have kings, that God instituted tribalism and that tribal chaplains need kings to attach to, they need to have bands of warriors to attach to…
This is why so many strong, courageous, masterful men have problems with the church.
They want a pastor that blesses the men to fight… and go crush in their domains, not castrate them to become second rate priests in a domain which they are unsuited for.
One of the serious problems we White Boys have with tribal belonging & even tribal mindset is our need to run tribalism through the machinery of the church.
We don’t know how to run a tribe, but we sure do know how to run a church!
A clue of a Church trying to be a Tribe is when it resembles a family business: sons taking churches over from fathers. Family members in paid staff positions. A pastor’s focus shifting from his local congregation to a wider cultural audience.
When men move in order to place themselves under the rule of a “priest,” this often leads to pain as they place the expectations and obligations of a King, onto the Priest. And the expectations and obligations of a tribe onto the church.
Priests can not execute the heavy and rough duties of the King without offending the weak in faith. Churches can not perform the exclusionary and protectionist duties of a Tribe, without disobeying scriptural ecclesiology.
Theological purity-spiralling and crucifixions to the priestly-standard ensue.
We must be wise to not take on a king in the guise of a priest, and a tribe in the guise of a church.
